My girlfriend and I thought the menu looked great so we walked in after a wonderful day touring the Montmartre.
We are melanated people ( blk and Indian) and immediately felt very unwelcome when we walked in. The waitress set us directly in front of the door, where it was very cold, and the staff refused to seat us elsewhere even though there were many empty 2 person tables. We requested to sit upstairs and we're told it was exclusive to large group. In fact, there were many open 2 person tables upstairs as well. (A European couple walked in later and were seated upstairs without question).
On top of this, we requested hot chocolate while we decided what to order and we were told we had to order everything at once ( later another Euro couple ordered drinks before ordering their meal without a problem).
If you are melanated, know that you will be served differently and will not be accommodated. -

Ordered a hot chocolate... Received lukewarm milk with a sprinkle of cheap chocolate powder. Rest of the meal was mediocre. Staff unwilling to accommodate or receive feedback on food.

Excellent restaurant. We are visiting from Memphis, TN speak no French but we have truly enjoyed eating here nightly. Our hotel is one block up the road so it was convenient after a long day of touring the city. Warm, cozy and romantic. We ate so many things here and it was all wonderful. Delicious dessert. Our waitress (although she couldn't speak English) was great! She was very patient with us and very helpful and friendly. The chef was so very friendly. He speaks English and came to our table, to every table actually and spoke to his customers. The prices are great as well!

So we came across this little gem while walking around and getting lost trying to find a clothing store- my wife and I were both hungry so we decided to give this place a try. The service was very nice -
